Volleyballer van de week/ volleyballplayer of the week

Afgelopen week was onze Eric volleyballer van de week. Dat houd in dat hij bij een wedstrijd van de heren 1 de toss zou mogen doen (helaas niet doorgegaan), even mee mocht spelen en de hele wedstrijd op de spelersbank mocht zitten. Dit in omdat gebleken is dat de overstap van mini-volleybal naar serieus echt volleyballen heel groot is gebleken en kinderen daarna afhaken. Maar wat vond hij het leuk. En wat waren wij trots op onze bink. Oh en Katy heeft besloten na deze dag dat zij ook op volleybal wil.

Last week our son was volleyballplayer of the week. That means that he with the Men 1 team do the toss (they forgot it), he was allowed to play with the team for a few minutes and he was allowed to sit on the bank during the whole match. They do this because they found out that going from mini-volleyball to adult playing is a big step. There is a gap in between it and a lot of kids stop playing volleyball because of it. BUT Eric really enjoyed himself. And we were very proud of him. Oh and Katy decided that she also wants to go play volleyball.
